Within the framework of the Circular Economy Hotspot Catalonia 2021, which will be held between November 15-18, Eurecat and Tecnocampus have presented the Reimagine Textile initiative to the Organizing Committee headed by Maite Machado and with representatives of the Department of Territory and Sustainability and the Department of Knowledge and Company. During the session, TecnoCampus Mataró represented by Emma Feriche, Coordinator of Strategic Projects, and Dr. Mar Isla from the Chair of Circular Economy and Eurecat, represented by Patricia Arcos (Head of Textile Business) and Jesús Boschmonart (Head of Resources Business, Energy and Construction) have advocated that both institutions co-organize one of the outstanding itineraries so that international public-private visitors learn about the circular experiences of the territory.
During the session, the Commission was able to learn about the Reimagine Textile initiative, a territorial strategic project that aims to boost the competitiveness of the textile sector through entrepreneurship, technological innovation, the circular economy and internationalization. The Commission visited the new Reimagine Textile spaces, the incubator and the FABLAB Textil in Mataró, as well as the main circular initiatives of Eurecat.
The startups from the Reimagine Textile incubator INFINITE ATHLETIC, OWL, NEWEX AND JÚLIA G. ESCRIBÀ presented their sustainable and circular value propositions to the representatives of the Circular Economy HotSpot Catalonia 2021.
